Juggling Inattention Blindness
Professor Bruce Hood shows that directing our attention to a specific task means we may not perceive all of what goes on in the world around us.
He asks a live audience to count how many times the Croydon Juggling Club pass two coloured batons between each other.
Whilst the audience do this, a man in a gorilla outfit walks past the jugglers. When asked after the juggling act, most of the audience had not seen the gorilla.
