Over 26,000 green sea turtles can arrive at Raine Island in a single night on the Great Barrier Reef, making this the largest sea turtle breeding ground in the world. Female green sea turtles are more accustomed to gliding through the sea than digging sandy nests on land to lay their clutch of 100 eggs. Presenter Monty Halls witnesses this spectacular wildlife event and experiences just how well their flippers acclimatise from water to land as they dig their nests.
