A political row over a new Thames crossing is threatening to scupper a blueprint for the county's future development.
Kent County Council is about to publish it's 20 year Vision for Kent, and wants all our district councils to sign up to it. But the leader of Gravesham Council is refusing to do that, because the document contains a reference to building a new Thames crossing east of Gravesend (06:07, 07:07 and 08:07).

Thousands of children in Kent are living in child poverty, according to researchers who say they have found a "stark picture of inequality" across the county.
In Kent, there are several council wards where more than two out of every five children are growing up in families living below the poverty line, that is more than twice the national average. The group, End Child Poverty, has produced a map of child poverty around the UK (06:41, 07:39 and 08:39).
