The Rape Victim - Ferdousi Priobhashini
Asian Network's been speaking to people about their experiences of Bangladesh's war of Liberation as the country marks 40 years of Independence.
Ferdousi Priobhashini says she suffered terribly during the war - she told us how she was repeatedly raped by Pakistani soldiers and had to abort the children that she became pregnant with as a result.
She was working at the Crescent Jute Mill when in 1971 the war that liberated Bangladesh from the then East Pakistan broke out.
Fersousi was the first woman to speak out about her experiences of rape during the war.
She is now a celebrated Bangladeshi sculptor and Asian Network's Konnie Huq spoke to her surrounded by her work at home in Dhaka.
