Are our children being taught properly?

Are you happy with your child's education? Have you taken drastic steps if you were not happy?

130 Kent schools are not doing well enough. We do not know which schools and the politicians will not tell us.

Is turing them into Academies the answer?

Do you trust your school? Frankly, do you trust the education system in this country to teach your child what they need to learn?

Are pupils just taught to pass exams? Are those exams getting easier? Are teachers only giving children part of the syllabus because they've been given a steer on what is coming up in the exam?

Do you care about what goes on locally?

Do you like to have your say? How far would you go to make sure your voice is heard?

A poll took place last night in Shepway on changes to parking charges. In some areas the turn out was just over 5%.

It was a cold, blustery night. Some residents are telling us they did not even know the referendum was taking place.

Does local democracy exist? When was the last time you had your say? Do you alwasy vote? Have you taken part in an online e-petition?
