An Albanian man died after falling from a Eurostar train in Kent. It happened during last night's rush hour, and caused long delays to the service. British Transport Police and Eurostar have both launched investigations.

A Kent pensioner is accusing British Gas of profiteering, after being asked to pay 拢150 to correct a design fault in a new condenser boiler which the company installed.

Ellen McGhie who is 85 years old and from Boughton near Faversham, is one of tens of thousands of people affected. The boilers tend to break down in cold weather, and although there is a straight-forward solution, customers are being asked to foot the bill.

We have all heard about the north/south divide, now a survey reveals you could buy two houses up north for what you would pay for one down south. It is the biggest ever price gap between the north and the south.

According to property website Rightmove the average price here in the south over 拢330,000. In the north, it is around 拢164,000.

Also, if you have decided you cannot afford to buy here in Kent, you will not find any good news in the rental market. The latest data reveals demand is outstripping supply. So prices are rising.
