Blind Auditions 1
Music superstars Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J, will.i.am and Danny O'Donoghue become coaches on a mission to find and nurture the UK's next great voice.
It's The Voice launch night. Music superstars Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J, will.i.am and Danny O'Donoghue take on the role of coaches on a mission to find and nurture the UK's next great voice. With over 140 million album sales, thousands of fans in every corner of the globe and countless number 1 hits between them, there is no better team to do the job.
This is a talent show like no other - during the blind auditions, hopeful artists take to the stage while the coaches listen with their backs turned. The coaches have to base their choices on vocal ability alone. When a coach likes what they hear, they hit a button which turns their chair to face the artist, who lands a place on that coach's team. But there's a twist: if more than one chair turns, the power changes and the auditionee gets to choose which superstar coach is right for them. If no coach turns, the auditionee is out of the competition.
Expect underhand tactics as the coaches go to extreme lengths in a bid to win over the very best singers. Which coach would you choose?
Hosted by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates, the first episode kicks off with an exclusive not-to-be-missed group performance by our four superstar coaches.
Find out who's got what it takes to make them turn. Tune into The Voice.
