Staff at Central Bedfordshire Council have been asked to take a 2% pay cut, and a reduction in other benefits, as way of saving money.

Chief Executive Richard Carr has written to employees asking them to voluntarily accept reductions on pay and other benefits as they look to save money.

But unions have urged staff at Central Bedfordshire Council to reject the proposals.
