It's exactly 20 years since the start of Operation Desert Storm, the operation to evict the Iraqi army from Kuwait.

More than 1.5m soldiers were deployed to the Kuwaiti desert, along with 8,000 tanks and hundreds of fighter jets.

Despite the conflict, it took another 12 years to depose Saddam Hussein, and British Forces are still embroiled in the Middle East.

Simon spoke to Our defence correspondent Gavin Lee. Mark Krantz from the Stop the War Coalition. And Adam Douglas, who served in both Gulf Wars and set up the charity Forgotten Heroes.
