The M25 overspend

The widening of the M25 has cost 拢660m more than it should have done.

The widening of the M25 has cost 拢660m more than it should have done. Work on the first section between Gerrards Cross and South Mimms is now well under way.

But the National Audit Office says a delay deciding the contractor pushed up costs dramatically, and using hard shoulder running instead would have saved 拢1bn.
