When conditions are good and food is plentiful, the Amboseli elephant families gather together in large groups. Echo's herd are among them, but the abundance also brings problems. Now four years old, young Ely - the calf born with bent legs - has fallen prey to a mysterious twisting disease that seems to afflict a few elephants every rainy season.
