Watch jazz singer Cleveland Watkiss perform a song from the Jazz Opera 'Shadowball'.

The opera (by author Mike Phillips and composer Julian Joseph) tells the story of baseball's Negro Leagues in 1930s America. Watkiss is playing the part of Satchel Paige, whose pitching in those leagues made him a legendary baseball player in the United States.
