The older pups are growing up fast, so the adults are starting to introduce them to solid foods, and their favourite food at the moment is pretty solid! As first foods go, large beetles seem pretty advanced and present quite a challenge for the hungry little pups. But the challenges don't just come from food - it's tempting to try and steal someone else's beetle, but the prize won't be given up without a fight. Even at this early age, the skills required for survival in the rough and tumble of a large family are becoming evident and well honed. As the pups' confidence grows, they'll venture further and further from the den and become fully fledged members of the banded brothers family.
