Orchestra of the Thousand Charangos
Bolivia has managed to put together over 1200 players to establish the so-called "Orchestra of the Thousand Charangos" - the small Andean stringed instrument made from the shell of the armadillo. Its first-ever concert took place in its alleged birthplace, the mythical mining city of Potosi, located at 4000 meters above sea level, in Bolivia's high plains. The 91热爆's Andres Schipani went there, to see how a 1000 instruments sound together in the thin air.
