The world's largest telescope is nearing completion on a mountain top in the United States. By combining the power of its vast mirrors, the Large Binocular Telescope will image the Universe with ten times the detail of NASA's Hubble telescope. Presenter Andrew Luck-Baker takes a tour of the 600 tonne instrument and talks to the astronomers expecting to see planets orbiting and being born around distant stars with this 'next generation' instrument.
