For centuries, a significant Sikh minority has flourished in relative safety in Afghanistan. But in the last decade persecution, including targeted killings, has seen the population drop from nearly a quarter of a million to around just 100 families. Those who remain live in virtual ghettoes, eking out a precarious existence. Kawoon Khamoosh meets some of the last Sikhs to call Afghanistan home.
