Air pollution is one of the biggest threats to mankind's health and the environment. Uncontrollable levels of smog and haze affect huge swathes of humanity around the world every day. Each year it's estimated that 1.3 million people die in our urban areas because of outdoor air pollution. Another two million suffer premature deaths as a result of air pollutants in their own homes.
