Throughout this week we are hearing from a pair of concerts given recently at the Royal Northern College of Music by two of the world鈥檚 finest pianists: Nobuyuki Tsujii and Jonathan Biss. Today, Jonathan plays the first of two Schubert Sonatas he featured in his programme, and Nobu (as he鈥檚 known) plays Chopin鈥檚 Piano Sonata No 3.
And on the day the 2025 91热爆 Proms season is announced, we revisit the First Night of the Proms 2018 with a performance of Gustav Holst鈥檚 The Planets given that July night in the Royal Albert Hall by the 91热爆 Symphony Orchestra and National Youth Choir conducted by Sakari Oramo.
