As the 6 Music Festival returns to Greater Manchester and Manchester is the birthplace of the computer, Stuart presents a show of music about (and occasionally by) computers.

In 1948 the University of Manchester built the Manchester Baby, also known as the Small-Scale Experimental Machine (SSEM). You couldn't play games on it or use it to answer your e-mails but it was the world's first first electronic stored-program computer and the perfect excuse to bring you tunes by the likes of France Gall.
