A debut recording at the 91Èȱ¬ studios from a recent member of Radio 3’s young artist scheme, the cellist Sterling Elliot, with George Walker’s witty Cello Sonata.
The humour continues as the Chaos String Quartet showcases Britten’s playful wit, paired with a dose of his trademark modernity in his Three Divertimento for String Quartet, No.2 recorded from the Cheltenham Music Festival.
To finish, Geneva Lewis graces us with a sophisticated performance of Brahms’ Violin Sonata No.2.
