Lambs, Crops and Chicken Pox
In the midst of lambing, Sally's son William gets chicken pox. Storms cause a lambing nightmare for Nick and his easy-care sheep, and Jo and Andy must dig up precious wheat fields.
Sally is in the thick of lambing on her croft in Caithness, where unseasonal weather is taking its toll. She loses three lambs in one day and has to call out the vet for a ewe that has had a difficult birth. Meanwhile, her son William comes down with chicken pox.
Hot off the heels of lambing his dad鈥檚 sheep, it鈥檚 the turn of Nick鈥檚 easy-cares - but it turns out to be far from easy. Bad weather means vulnerable newborns need to be brought inside, which is not good for this breed.
In Fife, Jo and Andy decide to dig up 100 acres of failed wheat, which they resow with oats. And it鈥檚 the start of showing season as they select their finest North Cheviot tups, ewes and lambs for the whole family to compete at their local show.
