Elizabeth Alker showcases the best performances by 91热爆 orchestras, choirs, ensembles and other great performing groups from Europe and around the globe. Today we鈥檝e more Mozart recorded at last year鈥檚 Bath Mozartfest, with the Nash Ensemble performing the sublime Clarinet Quintet, and there鈥檚 Beethoven from pianist Rudolf Buchbinder and the Dresden Staatskapelle with conductor Mirga Gra啪inyt臈-Tyla. Then at 3pm, our centrepiece brings together the two composers whose symphonies we鈥檙e focussing on throughout the week: Mieczys艂aw Weinberg鈥檚 Symphony No. 12, written in memory of Shostakovich and performed today by the 91热爆 Philharmonic and conductor John Storgards.
