Sheila Jordan, the pioneering American jazz singer who鈥檚 still performing at 96 years young, sat down in her New York apartment to share some highlights and stories from her incredible career.

Sheila is one of the last surviving links to the bebop era. She befriended Charlie Parker, who nicknamed her the singer with the golden ears, hung out at the legendary Minton鈥檚 Playhouse and took harmony lessons with Lennie Tristano. She has stories about everyone 鈥� from Mingus, Monk and Miles Davis to Kenny Dorham and Bud Powell.
