John Toal introduces a special festival edition of Classical Connections, with favourite carols and live performances from the Belfast pianist Michael McHale and the Dungiven folk musician Nodlaig N铆 Bhrollaigh.
And at 7.30pm: The Journey Of The Magi. Commissioned to mark the 91热爆鈥檚 centenary, music by the Belfast composer Paul Campbell illuminates the W.R. Rodgers鈥� poem about the Magi. His score was written over several months in mid-2022 and performed for this recording by the Ulster Orchestra. The Journey of the Magi is narrated by Michelle Fairley and Stuart Graham with an introduction by the award-winning poet, Michael Longley.
