Cathy MacDonald presents live coverage of the most prestigious choral competitions from the last day of the Royal National Mòd in Oban. Area choirs will gather in the Corran Halls to compete for the Lovat and Tullibardine Shield which was won by Oban Gaelic Choir in Paisley in 2023. Will they successfully defend their title this year? Running alongside is the competition for the Margrat Duncan Memorial Trophy, won last year by Black Isle Gaelic Choir.

Cathy is joined in the studio by two expert guests who will offer assessments on both competitions. The programme also features the winners of the Greenock Gaelic Choir Cup for Puirt à beul, the Esme Smythe Trophy for Ladies Voices and the Mull and Iona Shield for Men’s Voices.
