Zakia is joined by author Ben Edge to talk about his new book Folklore Rising, An Artist's Journey through the British Ritual Year.

Ben Edge grew up inbetween Southborough in Kent and Shoreditch but now resides in North London. He first got into folk music and art as a teenager and went on to study fine art at college and university. Edge cites his grandfather, as well as his family in general, as a major influence on his work. While recovering from a period of chronic depression, Ben stumbled upon a druid ceremony taking place on Tower Hill in central London, and has since been obsessively researching the folklore and seasonal customs of the British Isles Ben is currently working on his latest series of works Children of Albion that is due for exhibition in 2025, and his debut book Folklore Rising is out now.
