with Cathy Macdonald

Singer Betty Boo on her spiritual life; an exploration of bridges, both literal & metaphorical; rethinking human capabilities with new doc Cyborg & the race to upgrade our devices.

Cathy Macdonald speaks with GP and author Dr Gavin Francis about his new book The Bridge Between Worlds, a memoir and thoughtful exploration of the role of bridges - both literal and metaphorical - in providing connection, looking to the future, and as a gateway to the past.

Futurist Theo Priestley discusses new documentary CYBORG which follows the first recognised cyborg, Neil Harbisson, who has an antenna drilled into his skull that allows him to 'hear' colour.

90s pop singer Betty Boo shares her spiritual life, speaking to Cathy about her Scottish-Malaysian roots, the loss of her parents, and coming back to the music industry after an extended career break.

Between 9am and 10am, Cathy is joined by Scotland-based French journalist Assa Samak茅-Roman, theologian and author Dr Eve Poole, and Stuart Kelly, writer, literary critic and Church of Scotland elder.

They will be exploring the dynamics of the mentor-mentee relationship, off the back of the 91热爆 Scotland documentary Salmond and Sturgeon: A Troubled Union. They give their thoughts on the newly released biopic 鈥楲ee鈥, starring Kate Winslet as fashion model turned war photographer, Lee Miller. And with the launch of the new iPhone, Cathy and her guests discuss the race to upgrade to the latest phone or device, and what is lost when we prioritise speed and convenience.
