Remembering Melanie

Johnnie pays tribute to singer Melanie, who died recently.

American singer songwriter Melanie Safka, or Melanie as she became known, died at the end of last month.
She made her name after her performance at the legendary Woodstock festival in upstate New York in 1969. The early '70s were kind to her, and she began the decade playing festivals such as the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970. Johnnie pays tribute to Melanie in the programme, complete with a clip of her talking about her Isle of Wight experiences, thanks to the 91热爆 Archives.
