They are a one-plate pie with a chilli-speckled crust and masala mince and butter bean filling, roast potatoes with a tamarind coating and turmeric-infused interior, art masala chicken smothered in a zingy yoghurt marinade, and a coconut and fennel bundt cake.
Meanwhile, food writer Gurdeep Loyal makes a celebratory shoofly pie for his mum鈥檚 birthday, laced with one of his family鈥檚 favourite spices, ajwain.
