Violinist Davina Clarke with music to make you smile

Davina Clarke reveals familiar and unfamiliar works in a new light, from John Dowland鈥檚 Flow my tears to Barber鈥檚 Violin Concerto.

As a teenager violinist Davina Clarke fell in love with choral music and today she serves up several choral treats, including Lotti鈥檚 Crucifixus, Brahms鈥檚 Geistliches Lied and William Harris鈥檚 Faire is the heaven.

She鈥檚 also thrilled by a live recording of Hector Berlioz鈥檚 Overture 鈥楲e Corsaire鈥� and enjoys violinist Joshua Bell鈥檚 polished yet exhilarating playing in a miniature by Fritz Kreisler.

Plus, her insights into obbligato textures, where a melodic part accompanies a solo line, in music by JS Bach and Handel.
