In the wake of another week of celebrity scandal, Cathy Macdonald explores the concept of fame and whether putting people on a pedestal necessarily causes them to lose sight of themselves, with guests Angie Hobbs, Professor of the Public Understanding of Philosophy at the University of Sheffield, and Herald columnist Catriona Stewart.

Filmmaker Ken Loach鈥檚 latest film is The Old Oak, which centres on the arrival of a group of Syrian refugees in a former mining community in the north east of England. Youssef Al Hariri, a Syrian who arrived in Edinburgh as a refugee in 2017, and Tamara Van Strijthem, former Executive Director of Take One Action Film Festivals, give their thoughts on the film.

Cathy talks to its Clair Linzey co-editor of Animal Theologians, a book which explores how figures from various religious traditions have championed the rights of animals over the centuries.

How are teenagers being helped to navigate sexual relationships and the concept of consent? Cathy is joined by Carla Masteed of NSPCC Scotland and writer Alan Bissett, author of Lads: A Guide to Respect and Consent to discuss what is acceptable behaviour in an intimate relationship.

Zara Mohammed, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Britain, tells Cathy about Visit My Mosque Day, which sees many Muslim communities opening the doors to their places of worship this weekend.

The Right Rev Sally Foster-Fulton, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, takes us on a trip down memory lane to her very own Sacred Space; the lakeside near her childhood home.

Following NASA鈥檚 release of their Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena findings, a new documentary series on UFOs is about to land on Netflix. Emeritus Minister of the United Church of Bute, and space enthusiast, Owain Jones joins Cathy to probe the possibilities of extra-terrestrial life.
