Johnnie pays tribute to original Whitesnake guitarist Bernie Marsden, who died last week. In 2021, Bernie revealed his own Rock God for this very show - Johnnie will re-air Bernie's choice. Bernie's contribution to rock is huge. A hard-working, much-loved player during the 70s, he honed his talents with Babe Ruth and Paice, Ashton and Lord, among others, before he teamed up with David Coverdale to form Whitesnake in the late 70s. In 1982, he co-penned one of the all-time anthems, Here I Go Again, which first appeared on the Saints and Sinners album.
