Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical music, including Shostakovich, Messiaen, Piazzolla, Handel, Skempton, Liszt, Chopin and Elgar.

This evening鈥檚 Classical mixtape kicks off with Shostakovich鈥檚 rousing Festive Overture, followed by some meditative choral Messiaen. We then take a trip to Middle-earth to visit Hobbits in the Shire and bask in a beautiful slow tango by Piazzolla. Plus a lively Handel recorder sonata, Howard Skempton鈥檚 Clarinet Quintet, Liszt鈥檚 piano transcription of Chopin鈥檚 The Maiden鈥檚 Wish and Elgar鈥檚 Enigma Variations to finish.
