Episode 16
Nigel Havers hosts as five dealers bid to buy items brought in by the public, including a truck door, a ride-on train, a card table and a rugby shirt from a famous film.
Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.
First through the doors is Sophie, with a piece of film memorabilia that belonged to her late brother. It’s a trip down memory lane for Nigel as it’s a rugby shirt from Chariots of Fire. With Nigel on hand to give Sophie a head start in the Bidding Room, which of our dealers will be racing to take it home?
Arriving next is James, with a truck door he bought online. Nigel is bemused, but Simon thinks it will appeal to the motoring market. Will the dealers also see the potential?
John and Nicky have brought in two ride-on vehicles that have been living in a barn for 20 years. The coin-operated train and motor car are fun and functional, but can John and Nicky persuade the dealers to pay up and give them a new home?
George is selling an early 20th-century card table with a secret drawer. Perfect for parties, it has transforming qualities, but can George’s sales patter turn it into an amazing profit when he meets the dealers?
Lastly, Barry arrives with some stained-glass panels that he saved from his parents’ house. Art deco and colourful, they’ve got broad appeal, but which of our dealers will fight it out to own them?
Today's dealers are Melissa, Moses, Jo, Ian, Adi, Tash, Jane and JB.
