We've been celebrating International Women's Day throughout the Breakfast Show this morning. The event, which has been going for more than 100 years, is a day that celebrates 'the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women' whilst also calling for equality.
In the past year, women in many countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, Ukraine and the US have been fighting for their rights amid war, violence and policy changes in their respective countries. Closer to home - there are consistent calls for equal pay, better representation in political life and an end to violence against women.
