The National Youth Orchestra enables teenage musicians to build confidence, optimism, and abilities, through orchestral music. We provide the greatest adventure teenagers can have through playing together. The NYO Inspire programme supports hundreds of teenagers with a free place to get involved and take their skills and talents to the next level.

We offer free opportunities for teenage musicians from all backgrounds to develop together. Because for many the powerful impact of orchestral music is out of reach - opportunities are extremely limited, hard to access, and unaffordable for many families.聽

We gave Cai the chance to excel. Joining NYO鈥檚 Inspire programme enabled her to move her life forward. She said playing orchestral music with others took her musical skills, well-being and all-round confidence far beyond her expectations.聽

We open doors for musical young people, introducing them to new ideas, new experiences, new friends and new music to master. NYO Inspire is a free programme of high-quality musical opportunities for teenagers who need them.
