Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show
Goat farmers Richard and Sophie sell their goat's milk ice cream at the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show, while Tom and Emily are on a sales mission with their organic beef.
Dorset farming couple Richard and Sophie milk their herd of almost 400 dairy goats every day, but the raw ingredient isn鈥檛 enough to turn over a profit. To drive their small business forward, they think the recipe for success is to make goat's milk ice cream, and they are on a mission to convert the public鈥檚 taste buds to their alternative to cow鈥檚 milk. Armed with their range of tempting flavours, including one for dogs, it鈥檚 all systems go for these first timers selling at the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show.
It鈥檚 also an important day for young couple Tom and Emily. Their farming dream came true when they started working with veteran farmers Maggie and Quentin. They鈥檒l be joining forces to sell their organic beef to their country show customers.
