Tom chats to Brooklyn-based musician Lizzy Young and South African-based British DJ, label owner and producer Jumping Back Slash ahead of his mix in The Ravers Hour.
Lizzy Young has just released her 2nd album 'Not That Bad', recorded during the summer of 2021. It follows her 2020 debut Coocoo Banana. Both albums were written, performed, and produced by Lizzy.

Having grown up in the 90s rave scene in London, Jumping Back Slash connected with South African Kwaito and House music when he arrived in Cape Town in 2007.
He started making an impact with his 2011 single 'Kwaai Sneakers', on London based Pollinate Records. In 2014 he co-produced Spoek Mathambo's Fantasma project, co-producing, mixing and engineering their debut EP and LP.
From 2012 to 2016 he released the 6 part series of JBS EPs. In 2018 he released the 8 track 'Fun' EP, which was born out of an exchange with Scratcha DVA who asked for his most 'fun' tracks.
He runs the Swak Catalog label with Aryu Jassika, on which he's been releasing his music since 2019. His most recent album was 2021's A Map Of The Hills I Chose To Die On.
He recently released the ''Chaotic Excellence' EP.
