A unique celebration of reggae music's first global superstar, Bob Marley. Marking the 60th anniversary of Jamaican Independence, this special concert at Town Hall Birmingham showcases Marley鈥檚 greatest songs now layered with new orchestration and featuring Europe鈥檚 first majority black and ethnically diverse orchestra, Chineke!

Presented by Trevor Nelson, Chineke! is joined by one of today鈥檚 most exciting singers and Bob Marley's grandson, Skip Marley, who is making his first UK solo performance. Along with British singer-songwriter JP Cooper plus Jamaican born and Birmingham鈥檚 very own soul, gospel and R鈥檔鈥橞 legend Ruby Turner, they explore the music of Bob Marley in classics including Get Up Stand Up, One Love/People Get Ready, Redemption Song, Satisfy My Soul, Is This Love, I Shot the Sheriff and Exodus.

In addition to the music of Bob Marley, the first part of the concert showcases Chineke! with works by Fela Sowande and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
