Glasgow based artist, performer and DJ Taahliah shares an hour of favourite party music for 6 Music's Loud and Proud season, including tracks from Doss, Nonsens, Ethel Cain, Polymorphic & DJ Antention and Clouds.
She made her name in the underground queer club scenes of Berlin & Glasgow as a DJ and remixer, and released her debut EP, Angelica, last year.
She is the first black trans artist to be nominated at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards.
Born in Kilmarnock, she moved to Glasgow in 2017 to study at the Glasgow School of Art. There, she met fellow electronic music enthusiasts and started DJing on the side, soon becoming notorious for fusing hyperpop, rave and electronic sounds in her sets.
