Iain Miller is busy with cattle in Wick. He has been called out to trim a bull’s hooves, but has to sedate it as it won’t go into a crate. In Aberdeenshire, Scott Rigg uses a CT scan to determine if a Dalmatian with spinal problems will benefit from surgery.
At Highland Wildlife Park, Jane Harley carries out checks on two snow leopard cubs to make sure they are healthy enough to transfer to their new home at another zoo. One of the cubs had eye surgery nine months earlier, and specialist vet Kirsten Macleod takes the opportunity to examine the cubs while they are anaesthetised.
