Call You & Yours: How confident do you feel about living with Covid?
The government's plans for living with Covid include the end to a legal requirement to isolate if you test positive, an end to isolation support payments, and withdrawal of tests.
Today on Call You & Yours we want to know - how confident do you feel about living with covid?
The government has announced its plans for the lifting of the remaining covid-19 legal restrictions in England. This includes an end to the requirement to isolate if you test positive, an end to isolation support payments and an end to routine contact tracing. Free lateral flow tests for the public will be withdrawn, apart from for the most vulnerable.
The Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in the Commons that it is 'time to get our confidence back', and emphasised the importance of people exercising personal responsibility.
Rules still vary around the United Kingdom. Self isolation is currently still a requirement in Scotland and Wales following a positive test. In Northern Ireland, self isolation was always 'strong guidance' rather than a legal requirement.
How will your life be affected by the end of covid restrictions?
Are you an employer needing to get up to speed with the new rules? Or an employee worried about your rights to sick leave and pay if you become unwell with covid?
