Steve Lamacq - Desert Island Disco All-Dayer

All this month we're helping you Escape with 6 Music, & as today is 'Blue Monday' we thought we'd take you away to warmer climes as part of our Desert Island Disco all Dayer.

All throughout January, we're helping you Escape with 6 Music and as today is 'Blue Monday' we thought we'd take you away to warmer climes as part of our Desert Island Disco all Dayer. Running from breakfast through to Lammo, Desert Island Disco is all about big tunes and great music to get you on the dancefloor, songs to take you a fictional desert island. Good vibes, is what we鈥檙e looking at here.

Steve has, not only the good vibes, but also 3 special mixes to set your mood correctly. Firstly, our 6 Music colleague Afrodeutsche has put together a special mix for us to help us escape. Then. the brilliant Orland Weeks has curated some music that will help us to feel relaxed and refreshed. Finally, we're delighted that the brilliant 91热爆 journalist Ros Atkins has put together a Drum n Bass mix for us! Ros is of course a journalist, reporter and presenter for 91热爆 News, but in another life was a Drum N Bass DJ. He's getting back behind the decks after two decades away for today鈥檚 Desert Island Disco All-Dayer, with a mix themed around South London鈥檚 Brixton Electric, where he said he's enjoyed some of the greatest nights out!
