Highlights of the National Service of Remembrance from the Cenotaph as members of the royal family, the government, the Commonwealth and the armed forces gather in Westminster.

David Dimbleby presents highlights of the National Service of Remembrance from the Cenotaph. Members of the royal family, the government, the Commonwealth and the armed forces gather in Westminster. The two-minute silence at 11.00 is followed by wreath laying at the foot of the Cenotaph as the nation remembers all those who died serving their country.

The march-past of veterans returns, and on Horse Guards Parade, Sophie Raworth hears some of the remarkable stories of courage and sacrifice from those taking part. Last year, for the first time, the service was a closed ceremony due to the coronavirus pandemic.
