Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie present a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast.

Today they hear from singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Sufjan Stevens and Angelo De Augustine. The pair have collaborated on a new album, 鈥楢 Beginner鈥檚 Mind鈥�.

Sufjan Stevens has released nine studio albums alongside various collaborations with fellow musicians, choreographers and visual artists. Angelo De Augustine has released three studio albums and lives in California, where he grew up.

Their new album was formed from a month-long song-writing sabbatical, where the pair decamped to a friend鈥檚 cabin in upstate New York. Watching a movie to unwind after each day鈥檚 work, they soon found their songs reflecting the films and delved further into this connection, using films like 鈥楻eturn To Oz鈥� and 鈥楶oint Break鈥� as their inspiration throughout the record.

In today鈥檚 interview Sufjan and Angelo tell Mark about the album鈥檚 creative process and chat about Bon Jovi and Hellraiser III.
