The Scots last competed at the highest level at the 1998 World Cup, but they ended over two decades of disappointment by holding their nerve in two qualifying play-off matches, beating both Israel and Serbia in tense penalty shoot-outs.
Manager Steve Clarke has revitalised the fortunes of the Tartan Army, and he can call upon star Premier League players such as Andy Robertson, Scott McTominay, John McGinn and Kieran Tierney.
The Czechs, who beat England in qualifying, were finalists at this tournament on debut in 1996 and semi-finalists in 2004, though they ended bottom of their group in 2016.
Commentary comes from Rob MacLean and James McFadden.
