Episode 2
A trip through Yorkshire and County Durham for Roo and David. Will an old fishing stool land a big profit, and can a parachuting clown make an impact at the Newcastle auction?
Roo Irvine and David Harper are driving around Yorkshire and Country Durham in a noisy and sporty 1960s motor, seeking out antiques to sell at auction.
David buys an old fishing stool in the hope of landing a big profit at the Newcastle auction. However, the joke may be on Roo, who splashes out on an unusual purchase of a parachuting clown.
A detour from the antiques emporia of York sees David discover a little-known 19th-century inventor whose incredible innovations are as relevant today as they were in his time. For Roo, there鈥檚 a trip to Durham and the chance to hear the story of a mining association that shook up the industry, giving its workers a voice for the first time and thereby improving their lives beyond measure.
Back on the trail for auction glory, the competition heats up as one of our experts takes a tumble and the other leaps into the lead.
