Violet is In锚s Borges Coutinho. She began producing records in 2012 and moved to London for some time, but moved back to Lisbon in 2016 and has made an indellible mark on the citys underground. She started her label Naive and founded online station R谩dio Qu芒ntica, both in an effort to give a platform to marginalised artists. She is also resident at mina 鈥� a queer rave in unexpected venues.
Violet incorporates similar sounds from her production process into her DJing, melding breaks, extraterrestrial jacking rhythms, imaginative techno, acid house and more. She's played out across the world.
Her latest release is the EP 贰蝉辫铆谤颈迟辞, out this month on naive with an Eris Drew remix.
