Joy turns the tables and debate rages at Lower Loxley.
Freddie finds Elizabeth in contemplative mood, and worries she’s going to change her mind about having Rex’s pigs. She changes the subject, asking reluctant Freddie if he can help Russ with the life drawing class next week. She mulls over her pig decision with Vince. She feels Rex would be high maintenance as a tenant. Vince counters that pigs have a certain charm – mayhem more like, smiles Elizabeth. She acknowledges respect for Vince knowing his own mind, and suggests he believes she should say yes to the pigs. He points out it’s up to her. What she’s done with Lower Loxley is great. She feels that’s down to thinking things through properly. At least if she changes her mind now she can blame Vince, she laughs.
Kirsty’s relieved to be getting rid of the contents of her and Philip’s Beechwood home. She can’t wait for Helen and Lee to make it their own. Joy brings cake, and Kirsty admits she’ll miss her. She teases Lee that Joy is already an admirer of his. Later Joy’s out to impress Lee with her Spanish. Lee convinces her to keep at her quest for a seat on the parish council. Kirsty laughs that Tony might have been knocked off his pedestal. Later Freddie informs them his drawing class model’s dropped out. Joy thinks Lee would be excellent. He agrees to do it, and Joy immediately says she’ll sign up for the classes herself. Afterwards Joy and Freddie wonder whether Lee realises it’s a life drawing class – no clothes required.
