It's 6 Music's Throwback Thursday. All throughout April we're looking back through the decades - today it's the 1980s. As a special treat, one of the cultural icons of the decade - Gary Kemp - has delivered a special mix for us of some of his favourite tracks of the 80s.
Gary was of course guitarist and songwriter for the legendary Spandau Ballet. During their career Spandau notched up 23 hit singles and spent a combined total of more than 500 weeks in the UK charts, achieving over 25 million album sales worldwide. Some of their songs, like True, Gold and Through the Barricades have become standards. Gary has delivered this special mix for 6 Music Goes Back to the 80s featuring some of his favourite tracks for the decade and some of the stories behind his choices.
